The CDMS software program was first developed in 1982 for DuPont’s Vanguard Dealers. Over the software’s 40+ year life span, it has grown, changed and developed into the most comprehensive system on the market today, dedicated solely to the Flooring Industry. The development of CDMS is continuously directed by our customers, some of which are stockholders in the company. These customers and stockholders include commercial dealers, Starnet Dealers, Carpet One and Flooring America dealers, wholesalers, small distributors, and installation workrooms. Some of these dealers have multiple stores or multiple companies, while others have a single location. This diversity means that CDMS isn’t tailored to one person’s method of running a small dealership, rather it has been built over the years to accommodate all types and sizes of dealerships with a strong focus on streamlined procedures, unlimited capacity, CPA-loved formal accounting, and a high volume of work accomplished just as easily for multiple-store locations as if all the work was done at a single location.
The CDMS mission from the company’s inception is to provide the absolute best flooring software on the market and to provide outstanding support for our customers as it is our firm belief that software is only as good as its support. CDMS strives to maintain the best computer application support, training and development in the flooring industry. To this end, all support calls are answered immediately by our highly trained technicians. All programming is done in-house and we are constantly developing new features to keep up with the flooring industry. We recognize that support comes in different forms, including but not limited to telephone, email, remote training, user group conferences, and software updates. All application training is performed over a recorded Zoom meeting. CDMS then sends a copy of these recorded Zoom training sessions to the client. These videos can be used for internal training of staff or review of procedures.
